Bellevue New Year’s Pop-Up Night Market Brings Out 500 Attendees and Spotlights Local Arts and Culture

Bellevue, WASHINGTON, January 2023 – Hosted on New Year’s Eve, the inaugural Bellevue Night Market welcomed 500 attendees that shopped 19 local vendors to ring in the new year. As a pop-up preview to a larger series to come in 2023, AHG Cares, the philanthropic arm of Bellevue-based Ascend Hospitality Group, with support from Amazon Bellevue, presented this New Year’s Eve Pop-Up Night Market, spotlighting local artists and culture, and benefiting the Eastside Heritage Center.

Eastside Heritage Center Welcomes New Executive Director, Four New Board Members

Bellevue, WASHINGTON, October 2022 – Eastside Heritage Center welcomes a new Executive Director, Andrew Walsh, and four new Board Members, Mukthi Khan, Stephanie Haque, Diana Murray, and Jackie Myung, to our organization. All four are local members of the Eastside community and come to the board with a range of diverse experience. Andrew has worked on the Eastside for six years, lived in the region for a decade and is active in the local arts & cultural sector.

Winters House Closure

Bellevue, WASHINGTON, 2016 - In preparation for the construction of Sound Transit’s East Link light rail line, the City of Bellevue has closed the Winters House for approximately four years. Sound Transit anticipates construction of the South Bellevue segment of East Link to begin as early as January 2017. The rail line will run on the east side of Bellevue Way SE, dropping down into a covered trench as it passes in front of the Winters House.
